$24 for 2 small acp plates. Waited 30 mins while they were slow. At La cocina you get the same price but more food. Probably will just stick to them.

Got tacos to be safe since it was our first time there. Very cheap. The tortillas were not hand made and the wait was about 15 min for only 3 tacos nothing special. They gave us the smallest limes of 1 SQUIRT and when we asked for more the host was sweeping and didn't wash her hands before grabbing the limes with NO GLOVES. We also saw the lady in the back eating I hope they wash their hands since it looks like no GLOVES are used in this place.

Nice little authentic Mexican joint in the middle of nowhere. They even have a tiny Latin market with produce and non-perishable goods. The food was good but slow to arrive. They seemed slightly understaffed (especially for Cinco de Mayo).Would probably eat there again.

Grat place to eat.... Love the food.

Food is very good, and fair priced. Actually a good amount of food for the money, I get full about halfway through. Service is friendly. Great place for a lunch break and for dining outside on the front porch on cool evenings.

Super fast and cheap road grub.
Forey Holt

Ulvia's was a great find while driving through rural Central North Carolina! It is a simple, no-frills establishment with a menu that ranges from the typical US fare such as burgers and fries to traditional Mexican favorites like Huaraches and chiles rellenos. there are bottled beers available and nice desserts as well. Ulvia's also has a little market that sells produce and some typical Mexican products such as dried chiles or fresh nopales. I will definitely go again!

This is a quiet little place on a main highway. Good Mexican food, good prices. It is a good place for locals to eat. Dinner time is usually very busy.
Debbie Gossett
Authentic Mexican food!

Good food and price.

I really liked their food until me and my husband got food poisoning when we ordered one night. That paired with the lack of cleanliness was enough to make me lose my appetite for this place unfortunately :(
Matthew Friedly
It has pretty decent food and a good variety but nothing that will blow your mind. The pantry and produce you can shop in is a great feature. Its also the closest thing around for a quick cheap bite.

Great food and fast, friendly service!

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, despite being a random little store in the middle of the countryside (which often makes it one of the only options if you live out there, which in this case isn't a bad thing). I have never had bad food here and it is almost always really delicious, rarely mediocre. Fair price. You can eat dinner for about 10 bucks including drink and tip. Will add picture next time I'm there.

Ulvias is fantastic mexican food for cheap. Ownership is caring and makes delicious food for a bargain. It's the best bang-for-your-buck food in the area

If you are in the area this is a must stop in a surprisingly unassuming building in a unassuming location. We were visiting nearby Saxapahaw only to discover the main restaurant closed at the local brewery; as we headed out of town and only 2 miles out we spotted this true hole in the wall resturant. The salsa is definitely home made with the sharp taste of fresh cilantro. The plates were cooked to order and the typical sides found at all Mexican restaurants were surprisingly good! Everything was fresh and tasty!

Love the food here. Fajitas, flautas, quesadillas, queso, guacamole, tacos..you name it. Feel like I am back in Mexico. Owners are lovely people.

Not a fancy place and the decor is low key but the food. OMG the food. Did I mention the food?
Matthew Cook
Food is good and cheap. Portions can be somewhat small, but I suspect its more traditional. We eat here a lot and probably won't stop anytime soon.

Really dirty..most people get food to go because they don't want to eat it inside the premises,,the food is great.. the food really is good... But oh how it needs to be remodeled and put something on the television besides soccer... Soccer ,,soccer ,,every time you go in there... Try a variety once in awhile... Booths were just added,, they looked like they had been thrown away from another restaurant... But the food is good...,great prices did I say the food was great the food is awesome service is a little slow in the parking lot needs to be redone but a good business good food good food

Ulvia's is great! We live close by and are frequent customers. The staff is always very friendly, and the food is great for the price. I usually get a quesadilla or enchiladas, and my husband usually gets something with their homemade mole. Highly recommended!

Great hidden little gem in the country. Good authentic Mexican food.
Jacob Wall
Pretty good hole in the wall Mexican restaurant.

Ordered a torta (carnitas) with fries. Torta said it came avocado but gave me none. The meat was either too chewy or appeared to be undercooked. The fries were home made which would've been fine if they were covered in grease with little to no seasoning. The only redeeming dacitr was that the fries were clearly fresh/piping hot. I still want my avocado though.

Great little hole in the wall, food was excellent.

Worst Mexican place I ever ate at... Food cold cheese on dishes just thrown on not melted, cold food cold plate food tasted days old. Thought it may of been a "food find" sorely mistaken. Taco Bell would of been better.
Michael Westcott
It is an every Friday night thing for us. We love Ulvia's.
Samantha Bee
I really like this place. Food is inexpensive and authentic, and it is out where there aren't too many restaurants so it's really nice to have when you're in the area. They have good hamburgers in addition to the Mexican food.
mike kast
The food is delicious, the waitresses are friendly and the price is right. It is the crown g Jewel of Eli Whitney

Good food but the cashier overcharged me for tamales that I didn't get because they ran out. I asked about the amount and was assured it was right so I didn't argue...hope it was just an "honest mistake"
